Above all, Natalie sees a strong patient-therapist relationship as central to good therapy. She creates an environment that is approachable, warm, and nonjudgmental. Natalie believes that wellbeing is more than symptom reduction alone. She helps patients navigate adversity and suffering by connecting with core values to live with greater purpose and meaning.
Natalie practices from a psychodynamic foundation. This is a depth-oriented approach that looks at how past experiences and underlying behavioral and interpersonal patterns impact present challenges.
Natalie also integrates other modalities as appropriate including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma recovery and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
